The piece is composed around three hand-painted African glass trade beads in tube form  each one finished with traditional evil eye and stripe motifs in deep brown, ivory, indigo, and saffron. These are framed by brown lava rock beads in their natural, porous texture, with small orange crystal accents lighting the palette like embers. Three brushed gold spheres anchor the composition ,one at the centre, two flanking ,giving the necklace its rhythm and quiet visual weight.

The lava rock grounds the piece in something elemental ,earth, stone, the slow patience of volcanic rock, while the painted glass beads carry centuries of trade-bead tradition into a contemporary form.
